Dusheck Vest

Walter H. Woolbaugh who authored the book that goes along with the vest writes the following… Spring of 1972 found me performing at Wilkes Barre-Scranton I.B.M. ring banquet. Mother of the six acts, was Steve Dusheck, Jr. During his fourteen-minute act, he must have performed every classic in magic. Card fans, back palming, bottles, billiard balls, coins, vanishing radio, and the list could go on and on.

Afterwards I tried to think of a trick that he didn’t perform that night, and to this day, I can’t think of one. He performed all, with that skilled manipulation — Dusheck style.

That was my first meeting with Steve Dusheck, and after the banquet we went out to a local establishment. From the very beginning, he accepted me as an equal {or at least made me feel that way) and his generosity seems unlimited. The magic of Steve Dusheck isn’t only in his creativity, but also in his character.

When Steve took one look at the dove vest that I manufacturer, his mind began that Dusheck “tick”. “Why not employ a production vest on one side of the body, and a vanishing vest on the other side”? HENCE, THE DUSHECK VEST WAS BORN.
